Inviting more people does not cost more
The two standard ways to monetise invitations are both aimed at your guests: adverts on the free tier, or a charge for every person you send to.
Neither applies here. Making the invitation is what costs. Sending it does not.

No adverts to guests
The people you invite see your event, not a promotion sitting next to it.
Cost does not scale with the guest list
A two hundred person wedding costs the same to invite as a ten person dinner.
Free to create
The free path produces a real, sendable invitation rather than a locked preview.
Forwardable
Guests can pass the link to people whose details you never had, at no extra cost.
Step 1
Free, with no card required to see the result.
Step 2
There is no meter on how many people receive it.
Step 3
The relatives you forgot get the same invitation, not a screenshot.
Several services charge for every person you send a premium design to. The price therefore rises with exactly the thing the product exists to do.
In practice it pushes people towards a shorter guest list or a plainer design, neither of which is what anyone wanted.
A free tier funded by advertising means the people you invite are the product. For a casual gathering that is survivable.
For a wedding, a milestone birthday or anything with colleagues on the list, a promotion sitting next to your event details quietly undercuts the whole thing.
Volume and premium generation for people making a lot of invitations. They are not the gate in front of your first one.
Sharing is a link, so there is no per-recipient charge and no cap driven by pricing.
